Round 11 – Master Class

Ten out on a cold, grey, drizzly day, enough to scare off the early squad so nice quick round –  at least for the first group.  Just 8 cards found their way to me so I’ll add Colin’s and Simon’s when they arrive.

Great display of controlled golf from Richard, making it all look very easy with long straight drives, solid irons, good putts – and above all great composure for 35 points.  Bit fortunate to hole a long chip for birdie on the first without being able to see it go in, then another after a putt from just off the 8th.

David M in second place with 34, including (take note Bruv in Oz!) a very rare par on the 9th despite not getting over the big dip in 2 but fixed with a good putt.  Then Martyn with declared 32 that looked more like 33 on the card really.

Here’s the league, with Colin still looking comfy  …

… and in everything else

… including net birdies

Signing off now for a couple of Saturdays, going on the piste in the French Alps.

  1. Martyn says:

Boy, wasn’t it soggy out there today. Thought it was tougher than last week as there was no wind to dry the clubs and the towels, but everyone else seemed to think it was easier. Well done Richard, splendid performance.

Come on you lot, tell me what you think!
